Euroriding Saddle, 17", med. tree, German made.... This was a hard saddle to locate and buy. Bodo Hangen used to import these in the 80's. I don't know the age of this one but it is in very good condition. I have mixed emotions selling it because it has a very good sweet spot that allows you to use each hip fwd. easily and doesn't "funnel" you into a false position. It does have a fairly hard seat but a narrowish twist. Short billets. Def. an interesting saddle and well made. If you pay shipping both ways, free 3 day trial to see if it fits you & your horse. It fits my 17 hand, lighter built Hannovarian, but barely. If you like a close contact feel, not a lot of knee pads etc., then you'll find this saddle interesting also. $500.00 firm, plus shipping
Made in Germany, the Euroriding dressage saddle is a well known high end saddle in Europe but not sold new in the US. It's modeled after the Stubben Tristan, which it resembles. This saddle is used but in good condition - it has an 17" seat, a medium-wide sound tree, padded knee flaps (as well as padded thighs and padded jockey flaps), wool flocking, secure billets, recessed safety bars, and small knee blocks. The smooth leather is supple yet is very durable and will last and last, the leather and stitching are in good condition. The seat has a few surface wrinkles (no cracks or seam splits) and there's a small 1" wear on the pommel welting (see photos). Both billet guards and both stirrup leather keepers are there, nothing missing or broken.
